Turning My Thoughts Towards Jesus

Respite
You kissed my eyelids
With your Sonshine this morning
Gently wakening me
And drawing my thoughts to You
I praise You, Jesus,
In the midst of rain
For your rainbow
In the middle of the downpour
Which is sometimes my life...
Pre-Pared
Jesus, prune me, so that I might grow
In the shape most pleasing to You
Ugly or barren for a season,
SELF snipped off
So that I might be full of YOU,
Fruitfully renewed
Praise You
My fingers shout
Good morning to YOU
From the ends of yielded
Praising, uplifted hands!!!
Pass-Fail
Lord, if it is a pass-fail course
Help me to pass
Or better still
To learn Your strength
And, in You
Rise above my failure
Spirit's Song
You bless me, My Lord,
SO richly
Thank You for giving me
My heart's desire
Thanks for allowing me
A NEW heart
And filling it
To overflow
With Your Spirit's song.
Your Bride
Lord Jesus, I praise You for the Body
Who can reach out and touch
And pray in Your power
For one another any time, any hour
You've blessed us so much
Unite us together, Your Bride!!

They are short enough to read each morning before starting the day, yet inspirational enough to keep our eyes focused on Jesus all day long. Thanks David... most of my best pieces I feel were written after I came to Jesus - sime of the ones before are reflecting hopelessness to a degree... glad He caught me!PS many, many of my Biblical pieces are on the World Wide Bible Studies website (Search Warp's sister website) Marijo
I love all of these, but pass-fail is my favorite. A simple yet profound prayer! TeresaThanks,Teresa - simetimes we need "sight adjustment", don't we? I sure know I do! Marijo
