Thoughts on Pain, Gods Creation and a Servants Heart

  Contrasts

Love plants seeds, some seeds don't grow,
But if all seeds did, love wouldn't show.

If we had no black, then one might say
That black was white and night was day.

Having no grief or pain to bear,
We'd have no joy, no happiness to share.

If all were good and nothing bad,
We'd never know the good we had!

Hiking Higher

Jagged mountains
Cutting the horizon
Cold crystals caught
On all their pointy peaks

Alive azure skies
Broken only by
Wind waved bristlecone branches
As we hike higher and higher

Lord, Your hand
Is upon this wilderness
And resting on us
Your mightily blessed

May we never forget
What you have
Brought us from
And released us to.

And we praise You
As we lift Your name
Higher than jagged peaks
Up unto the heavens.

Having a Servant's Heart

Having a Servant's Heart means

Willingness to do the unlovely, joyfully
Obedient and making others successful
Submitted, goes the extra mile
Gives up rights
Considers and acts on other's needs above his own
Commitment
Has a positive effect to the Master.

Lord, we need a saving and a serving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

I'm amazed at your range, Marijo. These are great! Have to tell you that the Contrasts has particularly hit a chord with me at the moment. Thanks for sharing.

Would you believe that poetry is actually what I consider my best means of writing, certainly my favorite? It is  my oldest (my first poem that Mom wrote down as I spouted it off was when I was 4 and she got it published) Thanks so much - Contrasts was written back when I was a teenager in the 60s.....GRIN

Grin, ditto!

Just wrote a response and, once again, forgot to hit save! Duh and double duh to me. Lost in cyberspace, that amazing "piece of wisdom" - ha ha ha. I won' t bother to try to reinvent it, but want to simply let you know that I'll check back again.
