Young Love II

Discovery Pen works.
Brain doesn't.
Can't conceal my thoughts,
About you.
Only wish you were here now.
Don't know what it is,
But it's there
Like two would-be children
Tripping through
A picture book together,
Comfortable, close, curious,
About to discover
What's on the next page.
His words had touched me
And his voice.
I waited only for our hands
To touch.
Finally came the day
He reached out.
Our hands touched but
His was rough and calloused.
Discovering Another
Do you hear the snowflakes fall
When you can't hear
The patter of the rain
Or feel it splash in your face?
Do small things have colors
You've never seen before
And things you've always noticed
Blend in a blur of motion?
Are you so busy
Discovering another
That your world has stopped
And started all over again in a new galaxy?
I know the feeling too
Because today
I heard the snowflakes fall.
