Unequally Yoked, But not by Choice There are those times
When the stereo pulsates with the heartbeat
Of some ancient drum
And he sits there
With watered down wine
It's smell circling around my life
Our differences so vast
I must cry out
Because I was momentarily flashing
It almost makes me want to
Throw in the towel
And give up
Knowing Jesus, that leaving You
Would be ultimate death
"A house divided against itself cannot stand"
But better still
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
And you shall be saved and all your household"
Holy Spirit, convince his heart
I can't.
Neighbors
It s raining and gray today
And their dog is quiet
But the "music" next door
Is jarring
I have the warmth
And security of You,
My Jesus,
To brighten up this day
How cold it must be
For those lonely,
Aching hearts
Yet closed off to Your touch.
Give me a chance, Lord,
To reach out
And melt them
With Your love!

Unequally yoked in some relationships deepens appreciation of synergistic relationships. If only the young could heed warnings of those who have lived the states of being unequally yoked--much heartache could be spared.
Thanks, Suzi, I am broken hearted because a born again friend just married an unbeliever and she is in her mid 50s - tragic and I weep. I got saved after I married - it did end in divorce because after 12 years he left. Am now married to a wonderful Spirit filled believer. Marijo
