The first little kitten,
With foolish pride,
Was hurt and
Mad as could be.
The second little kitten,
Wouldn't believe
What she knew
To be reality.
The third little kitten,
Wouldn't feel a thing
As she curled herself
In a ball.
Selfish and blind,
Didn't see others
At all.
I've been each one
Of these cats,
And oh, so many more.
Thank God, it matters who I am now
And not what I was before.
Psalm 10:4
In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. (NIV)
Psalm 78:32
In spite of all this, they kept on sinning; in spite of his wonders, they did not believe. (NIV)
Job 14:22
He feels but the pain of his own body and mourns only for himself." (NIV)
Psalm 119:36
Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain. (NIV)
Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- (NIV)
Prayer: You, oh, Lord have turned our mourning into dancing! You have "put off our sack cloth". You and you alone have given us something to be joyful and glad about and that is your invaluable gift eternal life! Help us to walk in Your footsteps always. Thank You.AMEN
