Marijo's Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

1/2C. butter

1 C sugar

Cream the above together

2 eggs beaten add to the above

Then add the following next:

1 TBSP lemon juice

2 C mashed ripe bananas

1tsp almond extract

1 tsp salt (scant)

1 tsp soda

2 C flour sifted

Sift the above together

And mix with the wet ingredients

Add lastly C broken pecans or walnuts and C semi sweet chocolate chips

Mix all of the above well. Turn into a greased loaf pan. Bake 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes OR until knife inserted into the center comes out clean.

At high altitude I baked in a glass loaf pan it took too long in the over and I finished it in the microwave. You do not have to be concerned about this unless you live in the mountains, then it is worth the hassle. I did 50 minutes in regular over and then switched to microwave and kept testing with the knife. It was worth the wait! YUMMY
