My Daughter, guard against being so easily distracted. Know that I love you and am working much on your behalf. Things aren't often as they appear. Lean on Jesus and you'll never be off balance for long. Know that I know and rest in that. Stand. I will, I move in perfect, harmonious timing. Be not dismayed nor discouraged. Allow Me to open and close doors. Receive My peace and joy. Delight in My world/work, wherever you are. Selah (pause and think calmly about that)
But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!"(NIV)
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (NIV)
Philippians 4:9
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. (NIV)
John 16:24
Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. (NIV)
Eleven days later:
Oh, My Jesus, so many "coincidences" in the newspaper a family practice doctor wanting an LVN (I asked his wife to not allow my RN to be a problem when asking for an interview). His wife (who is an RN) called Friday and scheduled an interview Monday, which just "happens" to be my day off". Amos 3:3 "how can 2 walk together unless they have an appointment to talk and agree?" are in my quiet time book of scriptures for that date. The "words" shared at church Sunday AM fit, I am at peace and Mom encouraged me too. Sunday, sensing You whispered I'd know by tomorrow.
Monday:
Lovely interview with the doctor's wife. Her heart is my heart, I'm SO blessed, they've been praying! I have an interview with the MD on Thursday, May I have the job, Lord?
OK, I got the job and it was a blessing for a year to work at this office!

Top-level comments on this article: (2 total)Thanks for writing this Marijo! When I see Isaiah 41:10, I always think of the hymn, How Firm A Foundation. In this one particular stanza is contained the wonderful truth that Isaiah spoke of:“Fear not, I am with thee, oh, be not dismayed,For I am thy God, and will still give thee aid;I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,Upheld by My gracious, omnipotent hand."Thanks again Sister for reminding me of the beauty in leaning on His everlasting arms. Blessings!I love that scripture - it was one I memorized way back. Thanks again for reading this and writing back! Marijo
