Top 10 Predictions for 2011 that Will Come True

A fellow writer (Shari @ SearchWarp) sent me the following e-mail (in italics - original author unknown but I am thanking her for writing this). We then challenged each other to write a piece about it and that ball landed in my court. Both she and I have found that these predictions have been true over and over. We aren’t sure who sent the original e-mail but definitely thought it worth sharing along with some personal insights.
With all the problems the World is facing, it can be unsettling to the mind.
Here are ten predictions that are true!
Top 10 Predictions for 2011 1. The Bible will still have all the answers.
Having relationship issues? The Bible is the best “psychology of relationships” book ever written. Jesus taught equality for women, and slaves, and rich and poor long before there was ever a whisper about a Woman’s Movement or Civil Rights Movement. He came to set the captive, any captive FREE. I can speak to this from personal experience, believe me.
2. Prayer will still be the most powerful thing on Earth.
Even secular authorities are now writing about studies on prayer with hospital patients. Those prayed for improve at a faster and more complete rate than those without prayer. God is good. God delights to “talk” with us and prayer is the vehicle He had ordained to accomplish this.
3 The Holy Spirit will still move.
Thiscouldand has been the subject of many, many books. God is alive and moving and open to relationship with Him if we just indicate that’s what we’d like.
4. God will still honor the praises of His people.
Have you been to a good worship service lately? I have and the Lord moved. Lives were touched, people healed and captives set free. The Lord inhabits the praises of His people, of this I have no doubt.
5. There will still be God-anointed preaching.
Both of our pastors pray for the Holy Spirit to lead the service from the first song in worship to the last prayer and Amen. What does this look like? It is orderly but never the same. Sometimes the preacher doesn’t even have to preach because God enters the sanctuary and does what He would like to do. Sometimes we all share a scripture, song, testimony giving glory to the Lord Jesus Christ. Awesome is trite and overused but I can’t think of a more applicable word for God.
6. There will still be singing of praise to God.
An hour most of the time seems way too short a time to lift our voices to our Lord. There are times when we do nothing else in the whole two hour service. Sometimes it isn’t over in two hours either. Ever think about how heaven will be with no clocks? I sure do!
7. God will still pour out blessings upon His people.
Food in the truck when it was locked, two bags full when we were down to a little peanut butter and an egg in the house. This one happened early in our marriage. A lady offering to drive me to evening services at church and bring me home during weather when I don’t feel safe driving. That happened this week and was an answer to prayer and totally blessing. God giving me a poem or whispering in my ear the basis for a devotional to write. This category too could be several books.
8. There will still be room at the Cross. Have you met my Jesus? Have you been truly forgiven and set FREE? Today would be that special day for you, yes, there is still room at the cross for you!
9. Jesus will still love you.
But I have messed up, you have no idea what I have done. How can he possibly love me? He does, trust me, I was not born teething on a Bible. I came the long and difficult way around. If He can forgive me then He can forgive you!
10. Jesus will still save the lost when they come to Him.
If you haven’t even asked Him to forgive you. If you have never made that journey to the foot of the cross. If you have never been given back your innocence and purity like you’ve never known it before why couldn’t 2011 be the year for you? All you have to do is ASK. He is there and ready and faithful. He already died for you. All you need to do is accept His incredible sacrifice. There really is something to that “whole new creature in Christ Jesus” saying. It is time to make it very real in your life if you haven’t. If you are a prodigal, it is time to come home.
Isn't It Great To Remember Who Is Really In Control, And that; "the Word of the Lord endures forever."
I hope you found this encouraging! I sure did, sometimes we need the reminder of just "WHO" is really in control.
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
-- Edmund Burke Share the Word, these words and HOPE. 2011 could be THE year which makes the best difference.
Although I didn't think up these 10 points I have found each and every one to be true as indicated by my comments which aren't in italics. The blogger's site said it was OK to use his postings.

Marijo-inspiration in every word-thanksBlessings, Bing and with the New Year I think we could use a reminder of "what really matters 100 years from now"!
Thanks for the positive inspirationHey, I am starting the year with a 4.5 - thanks a bunch for coming by and your encouragement!
Hi Marijo -
This is great! Thank you!
I'd love to have more about the food in the locked truck - 2 bags...
For years, this has been one of my favorites, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
We were newly wed and broke and new to our church and community. The only people at church we knew were sitting next to us. I had asked for prayer for work but not mentioning about the empty cupboards in the kitchen at the ladies meeting earlier that week.
When we got out to the truck there were 2 huge bags of groceries, including Mick's favorite (canned salmon and who gives that in a "care package" and bar soap - we had taken showers using shampoo for soap for our bodies etc) The truck had been locked and they must have used one of those fire department unlocking devices.... and then put them in. We never did find out who did it. Might have been an angel - certainly one who was listening to the Lord. I should write a story about "miracle" provision through the years, shouldn't I? We wouldn't have starved as my parents lived in that town but we didn't tell them our need but prayed to see what the Lord would do. After that my parents about emptied their pantry giving things to us... what a blessing however and whomever the Lord chose to use.
What a great awakening article to be spiritual.... Good love it...Thanks Marijosomething we should focus on every new year....thanks so much for reading and your encouraging comments.
Thank you for sharing the message and writing it so well. You're welcome - thanks for being a good supporter and fellow writer! You bet! I'll do what I can when I can. Miss hearing from you thoughI sent you an e-mail! Hope to hear back from you so I can send you some snow photos!I love that I heard from you! Thanks, received. Wow!
If this doesn't draw readers, nothing will! The "scandel sheets are often off the shelf about as soon as they come in when they contain predictions that the buyers know of a certainty will never all come true. This is certainly a blessing to absolutely have some things that we know we can depend upon. Great jobThanks Verna - I thought I would get in a few positive things for the new year and something that will really matter 100 years from now! Thanks for the high 5 too - I think that last one was you?!
Marijo, I'm not what you would call a religious guy, but when I see you right this and similar things it is plain to see you are a good person with a good intent and THAT is great in my book.
Thanks.......
