Not Circumstance

This one needs some help but I am going to post it anyhow. There are many times in our lives when we can get swallowed up by the thunder and lightening of the moment but we have a choice to look beyond that cacophony to The Rock (and Jesus can be your Rock!) We are kind of puny but His Word promises that in our weakness God will be STRONG. What a trade off – our weakness for God’s strength.
NOT CIRCUMSTANCE
Father help me not to look
To the violent thunderclap
Not the fury of the wind
And think "Oh, woe is me"
But to Jesus my savior
And His redeeming grace
As He died yet rose again
To release and set me free
Help me not to eye circumstance
But to rest secure in You
Knowing You're consistent
Now and forevermore
I gladly place my life
In the hand of Thee.
