I don't think there are many of us who would sign up to go through times when the fire is turned up, those times when we are in a pressure cooker as it were. However, many of us would quickly choose lovely character traits to claim as our own. When you think about it, how do we get those character traits? Not by living an easy life and having everything handed to us giftwrapped, eh? In returning, Let the old impurities Become dross to be skimmed off By Your quick, gentle hand. In returning, Let me be dealt with In Your love, That I don’t deserve. In returning, I give You only that Which is mine to give Yet even those You’ve given to me.
