My Personal Cancer Update

I went to both of my surgeons yesterday and they were really pleased with the progress I am making (so am I!) The plastic surgeon took out some sutures which were a surprise to me as I thought I had surgery glue and all dissolving sutures (can you say ouch? a minor ouch.) I cancelled appts today as we are getting snow from the west and it was supposed to be quite significant (I am waiting though)
Mick and I have definitely felt the saturation of prayers. I am blessed to literally know people from around the globe through Youth With a Mission and my previous work with Every Home for Christ and several writer's networks I participate in. When I was in trouble in the middle of the night with a terrible reaction to my pain meds I knew I could get online and get immediate prayer. That's what happened too as my e-mail went out and I got replied from South Africa, United Kingdom and other places when it was 1:30 AM here.
God has surrounded us with His presence and through His Body world-wide has hugged us close through this all.
THANKS for your prayers!
Marijo

Top-level comments on this article: (1 total)I pray for you. Watch yourself on the roads. It's pretty sloppy in Denver.I think I will even let Mick get the mail today....GRIN good day to read and loaf (after making scalloped potatoes and ham, washing and doing dishes, cleaning kitty boxes, making Mick's lunches, unpacking groceries from yesterday, putting away clothes .... SO afternoon off?)Marijo, being out of touch I had no idea of this news. Definitely hope you took afternoon off, and will take many more. And why not stop after just a few things. Your list made me feel guilty. smile. Love, prayers, and blessings to you, and also to Mick. Praying for all good things for you, including the complete healing.Jean - the Lord has been so close to us both and SO good! Will begin radiation probably in December. Am gradually betting back to "normal". Right now out oldest kitty looks like he might be moving on to wherever kitties go when they die. It is a very sad day around here knowing Stormy might not be with us much longer. the trip to the vet would probably kill him (he gets way upset) and we had over 6 inches of new snow yesterday so roads are a mess....
